Rekha Bhardwaj's Melodic Journey
Rekha Bhardwaj's love affair with music began at a tender age, with her older sister being her first guru. She was then formally trained under the esteemed Pandit Amarnath, setting the stage for a remarkable career.
From Humble Beginnings to Stardom
Rekha's debut album, 'Ishqa Ishqa', saw the light of day in 2002, a decade after its conception. This milestone marked the beginning of an illustrious journey, with Rekha going on to enthrall audiences with her soulful voice. Her breakthrough came with "Namak Ishq Ka" from the 2006 film Omkara, composed by her husband Vishal Bharadwaj. This was followed by her mesmerizing rendition of "Sasural Genda Phool", a traditional Chhattisgarhi folk song beautifully recreated by the maestro AR Rahman for the 2009 film Delhi.
